Toronto Raptors All-Star guard Fred VanVleet was asked about how he was able to get back into a shooting rhythm so quickly after missing last game with an illness (26 points vs. the Dallas Mavericks in a 105-100 home win).

(via Jump View):

“Just chuck ‘em up there. You know me. I’m just gonna shoot ’em and figure the rest out. I was a little ugly there to start. Looked a little rusty, felt a little rusty. But, it’s tough. It’s been a tough start for me individually, but you just gotta trust the work, trust the plan of the season, and understand that there’s highs and lows. We hit a little bit of adversity here early, but it’s November, about to be December. We’ll be fine. So I thought it was a great win for us, a great team effort. You just gotta try to get as many of these as you can early on in the season and continue to build and grow your team.”
