The Spurs are reportedly one of just a few teams that have the right assets and willingness to do a trade with the Lakers and take Russell Westbrook.

Such possibility has not been ruled out. Los Angeles is having major problems with its three-point shooting which is the worst in the NBA and San Antonio has a couple of players that could help on that front.

According to LJ Ellis of SpursTalk, the Lakers have targeted two Spurs players, namely, Josh Richardson and Doug McDermott, however, the Purple and Gold were unwilling to meet San Antonio’s demands.

It remains possible that the two sides will re-engage in talks at some point later in the season as the Lakers are 2-8 and in need of a reliable three-point shooter.

Richardson is making 41.7% of his three-pointers, while McDermott has made 41.8% of the shots from beyond the arc this season.
