As the Golden State Warriors are off to an abysmal start, Klay Thompson is reminding everyone to be more aggressive.

“We just need to bring more of a sense of urgency,” Thompson said, according to ESPN’s Kendra Andrews. “We had a long run last year, but 2022 is over. It’s time to kick into high gear and play that championship level of basketball that we’re used to. I fully expect us to do that.”

After entering the new season filled with pride and honor as they are the defending champions of the association, the Dubs went stumbling for their first few games.

They dropped their six-straight road games against Charlotte Hornets, Detroit Pistons, Orlando Magic, New Orleans Pelicans, and Miami Heat twice. Disappointingly, this makes them the first defending champions to start the season 0-6 on the road.

As such, head coach Steve Kerr is keeping his head high so that things will work out as they continue to advance.

“There are times in the NBA season when things can go off the rails a little bit,” head coach Steve Kerr said. “A big part of being a great team, being a solid organization, is just understanding how to work through that.”
