Denver Nuggets promising forward Michael Porter Jr. has been on target lights out from distance this season and he’s certainly stepping up to continue thriving on it.

But the fact that he’s shooting in a jaw-dropping percentage, he can’t hold himself from continuing to express confidence to connect more.

“Fifty percent (from) three, to me, is not an unrealistic number,” Porter told Denver Post’s Mike Singer. “I’m not saying that that’s easy to do, but I missed a lot of shots that I feel like I should make, and I’m at 50%. … I think in high school I shot like 75% from 3. Like, literally.”

Porter Jr. has been shooting in a blistering 48.9 percent from three across six games for the Nuggets. Within that number, he is taking 7.8 three-point attempts – a testament of how shocking he is as the team’s sniper.

With how he performs right now, he can certainly hope to keep it up and remain healthy in order to help the Nuggets in contending for a title.
