Former NBA veteran Quincy Acy is welcoming a new chapter in his life – and he is still intertwined with the game of basketball.

The Texas Legends, G League affiliate of the Dallas Mavericks, announced on Friday the addition of Acy as their newest player development coach.

Acy placed an Instagram post thanking people who became major parts of his professional basketball career, while being fully grateful of the new opportunity to serve on the sidelines.

Acy, who was drafted by the Toronto Raptors for the 37th pick of the 2012 Draft, played seven seasons in the NBA and had some stops for the Mavericks, Sacramento Kings, New York Knicks, Brooklyn Nets and the Phoenix Suns.

He previously played for Olympiacos, helping them to seal the 2022 Greek Basket League championship.
