Former NBA point man Nate Robinson announced on Saturday that he is having a battle against renal kidney failure.

Robinson made his disease known publicly “to be the voice for those who are having trouble speaking about this illness, and come together for a greater cause – our health.”

Robinson, 38, is the 21st overall pick of the 2005 Draft who managed to play in 10 NBA seasons for eight different teams. He followed it up by playing overseas and having a solid year in Venezuela back in 2017.

Standing at five-foot-nine, Robinson wowed the fans with his spectacular dunking ability and explosive demeanor, earning himself an NBA Slam Dunk Contest championship trophy thrice.

Robinson averaged 11.0 points, 3.0 assists and 2.3 boards in his whole career.
