Last season the Mavericks made a deep playoff run as they went all the way to the Western Conference Finals where they were eliminated by the eventual champions the Warriors.
According to Luka Doncic, this year the goal for Dallas is to win a championship, just as it is every year. He also thinks that last year’s success earned his team more respect around the league.
“Our goal every year is to win a championship,” the Slovenian superstar said. “That was our goal last season, that’s our goal this season. But I think we got a little more of respect around the league. I think we have a great team. We just got to believe.”
