The 2016 Euroleague Final Four is rumoured to be staged in Berlin, according to independent Greek-based website Eurohoops.

The O2 World Arena, soon to be named the Mercedes Benz Arena looks likely to provide the backdrop for European club basketball’s showpiece event for the fourth time with the most recent edition in 2009.

With Berlin seemingly the preferred destination for next year’s Final Four, it showcases the power of arenas managed by AEG Live, as arenas such as Kaunas’ Zalgirio Arena and Ljubljana’s Stozice Arena failed to get a look in.

Euroleague Basketball and AEG have invited all media to a press conference that will be held next Monday, May 11th, 2015 at the O2 World – Premium Entrance, via Marianne-von-Rantzau-Straße at 11:00 Local Time.

Mr. Jordi Bertomeu, Euroleague Basketball President & CEO and Mr. Michael Hapka, O2 World CEO will be part of the speakers panel at the press conference.

A formal announcement is expected to be made during next week’s Euroleague Final Four in Madrid.
