Earlier this summer the 76ers traded Danny Green to the Grizzlies. There were doubts whether Memphis will want to keep the 35-year-old shooting guard on a young team.

But it seems most likely that Green will remain on his new team for the coming season, according to NBA insider Jake Fischer. “From everything I’ve heard about Danny Green, he’s excited about Memphis and excited to be a veteran leader there,” he said on Please Don’t Aggregate This podcast, via HoopsHype.

“I do think Memphis is looking at Danny Green as a piece for them this year. I don’t think they necessarily are trying to flip him immediately.”

This past season Green averaged 5.9 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1 assist in 21.8 minutes per game for the Sixers.
