It looks more and more likely that Kyrie Irving will remain in Brooklyn for coming season as trade talks between the Nets and the Lakers are not progressing.

The 30-year-old star point guard reportedly intends to remain with the team regardless if his friend Kevin Durant gets traded or not. It seems that Irving has support of the Nets’ owner too.

Joe Tsai retweeted a video from Boardroom, which is Durant’s website, in which people are being asked about which current NBA point guard could survive on the playground of New York City.

The overwhelming majority names Irving. In his retweet Tsai wrote “Truth,” agreeing with what was said.

This past season Kyrie averaged 27.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 5.8 assists in 37.7 minutes per game.
