The Lakers have not yet finished building their roster for the 2022-2023 season but there is some clarity on who will start at the wing/guard position.

It seems that several players will have a chance to earn that spot as Los Angeles will reportedly the player who can make three-pointers and defend the point of attack at the highest level. This will be determined during the training and preseason games.

The Lakers are looking to start whichever wing/guard can make 3s and defend at the point of attack at the highest level on the roster, according to league sources. The player that stands out in training camp and the preseason will be the favorite for the job.
