Marcus Smart, despite not being a scorer, is the leader of the Celtics. The 28-year-old point guard has other attributes that makes him the voice of the team. Draymond Green acknowledged that as he talked about Smart ahead of Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

“I think he really thinks the game,” Green said, per Mark Murphy. “You can see it the way he plays, the way he’s teaching guys, the way he’s commanding attention in huddles and going through the X’s and O’s in the huddles. You see it all. I think he does a great job of that.”

The three-time NBA champion then reminded that one of Smart’s key attributes coming into the NBA Draft was his leadership and him being a winner.
