The Nets remained in chase for the 7 seed in the Eastern Conference with the win over the Rockets. Kyrie Irving led the winners with game-high 42 points.

After the game the 30-year-old point guard talked about the importance of upping the team effort when the lead is starting to slip away and his role in doing that.

“When the game starts to get a little out of hand or we have a big lead and let it go, then it’s time to put the foot back on the gas pedal and I have to lead by example,” Irving said, per ESPN.
