NBA veteran Gerald Green is planning to come out of retirement and sign a deal with a G League team, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

The former Rockets’ and Celtics’ veteran is working in Houston as a player development coach. He’s going to sign with a G League side in hopes of finding a deal in the NBA.

Green initially retired from the league on Oct. 22 and then took a job with Houston’s coaching staff. He sat out the entire 2019-20 season due to having surgery on his broken foot.

The veteran swingman has played for eight NBA teams since the beginning of his career in 2005. He averaged 9.7 points and 2.5 rebounds across his NBA career.
