Brooklyn Nets, like any other NBA team in the last month, went through a dramatic surge in cases with players losing games and the league deciding to postpone games.

LaMarcus Aldridge, who recently got out of the NBA’s health and safety protocols, talked about the aftereffects of the virus as he was out for 15 days.

“I had all the symptoms, so I didn’t do anything. I was tired. I wasn’t feeling well, headaches, body aches, so I didn’t do anything,” Aldridge, who retired last season due to an irregular heartbeat, told reporters.

“So I’m still trying to find myself right now,” said Aldridge. “[The hardest part] was not working out, not getting in the gym, just not moving around.

Even those two games I played, just don’t feel right. You don’t feel like you’re clear-headed, like your wind and your legs are still tired. So it’s a process coming back from that stuff.”

Aldridge came back this season, playing a big role in the time he spends on the court, entering Wednesday’s game against Indiana with averages of 13.7 points and 5.9 boards.

The veteran big had 13 points and three rebounds in 16 minutes of playtime in Indiana. The Nets were able to get a 129-121 over the Pacers in Kyrie Irving’s season debut and improve to 24-12.
