The Chicago Bulls will face the Los Angeles Lakers at United Center on Sunday night, in their first NBA game in more than a week.

With 10 players in Health and Safety protocols, the Bulls were unable to compete. Therefore, the league had no option but to postpone Chicago’s games vs the Detroit Pistons and Toronto Raptors, respectively.

Chicago practiced for the first time on Saturday, one week after their loss to the Miami Heat (118-92). Still, they will be missing five players vs the Lakers.

Zach LaVine, Ayo Dosunmu, Troy Brown Jr., Alize Johnson and Stanley Johnson are out, due to the league’s protocols and injuries. For their part, Derrick Jones Jr. and Matt Thomas (also in Covid-19 protocols) are questionable and probable, respectively. Yet, DeMar DeRozan, Coby White and Javonte Green are available and will make their return vs the 17-time NBA champions.

On the contrary, the Lakers will have several players unavailable as well, due to a Covid-19 outbreak. Meanwhile, Anthony Davis will miss four weeks with a left knee injury.

Chicago (17-10) will seek to sweep the season series vs LA (16-14). Derozan (38 points) and co. had dominated the Lakers (121-103) at Staples Center on November 15.
