The NBA and NBPA are in talks to modify the Health and Safety protocols of the league, due to the high number of Covid-19 cases.

Per Shams Charania of The Athletic, the league will increase testing to all players no matter if they are vaccinated or not. Increase testing will take place in game and practice days.

“We are working through modified protocols in partnership with the Players Association,” NBA spokesman Mike Bass told Charania. For her part, Michele Roberts of the NBPA said there is greater need for testing, due to the recent breakthroughs.

97% of the players is fully vaccinated. 60% has received the booster shot as well, with the percentage set to increase. Several players and coaching staff members have entered the protocols over the past few days.
