The Sacramento Kings are an absolute mess on the defensive end this season, as the frustrations continued last night in a 124-101 road loss to the Toronto Raptors.

“To be honest with you, I really have no idea what to say,” interim head coach Alvin Gentry said. “It was just embarrassing. That’s the only phrase I think you can use is embarrassing.”

After being called “embarrassing” by Gentry following their third straight loss, the Kings held a players only meeting to try and figure things out.

“I think they closed the door and talked about it, so obviously if you care, those are the kinds of things you do,” Gentry said. “If you don’t care, you would never have done that in the first place, so we’ve just got to see what’s going to come out of it.”

Sacramento’s season isn’t a complete disaster yet, they’re still just a half game out of the final Western Conference play-in spot, so these next few weeks will say a lot about how much they care.
