Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James has entered health and safety protocols and is out tonight against the Sacramento Kings, according to Shams Charania.

James will need either two negative PCR tests over a 48-hour period, or he’ll need to go into a 10-day quarantine.

It’s unclear if the 36-year-old has tested positive or if he is a close contact to someone who tested positive.

Without James, the Lakers upcoming schedule includes games against the Kings (tonight), Los Angeles Clippers (Dec. 3), Boston Celtics (Dec. 7) and Memphis Grizzlies (Dec. 9).

More details may emerge on James’ situation in the coming days.
