There are several fantasy basketball prospects for the upcoming NBA season to consider. All the players on this list have met merit and play great basketball.

With the opening tip-off fast approaching, and free-agency moves have come and gone. The roasters are finally taking shape, and this makes it an opportune time to dive into fantasy basketball prospects. Below is a short blurb on NBA optimizer fantasy prospects. Check them out;

1. Nikola Jokic PF, C

Jokic stepped onto the court last season as a Denver Nuggets player and made a splash. He averaged 56.6% on field shooting and nailed 1.3 triples. This is incredible! More so if you consider that he did all that playing from the center position.

Currently, Jovic is the reigning MVP and has all the skills you want in a player from scoring, shooting, rebounds, assists, and threes. All that places him first on the fantasy basketball ranking for the upcoming 2021-22 season.

2. Steph Curry PG, SF

Currently, Steph Curry plays for GSW and led last season in scoring. He averaged 32.0PPG and made 5.3 three-pointers per game. Plus, he averaged over 5 rebounds and assists per game.

Steph Curry will be carrying GSW again this coming season. Basketball fans are in for monstrous stats when the 2021-22 season comes to a close.

3. Luka Doncic PG, SG

Luka Doncic is one of the biggest stars who deserve to open the season as the MVP favorite considering his accomplishments in his brief stint in the NBA.

In the last two seasons alone, he averaged 8.7 dimes, 28.3 points, and 8.7 boards. Luka carried the Dallas Mavericks to the game 7 showdown with the LA Clippers. Furthermore, he helped his country Slovenia to an Olympic quarter finals appearance.

4. James Harden PG, SG

The Brooklyn Nets player thrives in his new locale. He posted triple-doubles last season despite playing more games alongside Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.

James Harden remains the first-round pick for fantasy basketball who will dominate games as a point guard. Besides, Harden has stellar steals and shooting statistics that makes him a true talent.

5. Giannis Antetokounmpo PG, C

The Milwaukee Bucks star player is the reigning NBA finals MVP and world champion. Giannis is an elite scorer, rebounder, and assists player.

However, he still needs to work on his three-pointers and free-throw shooting.

6. Kelvin Durant SF, PF

The Brooklyn Nets player missed the 2019-2020 season, but his performance was stellar in his Nets debut.

Durant helped his team to the playoffs, averaging 27 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists, including 2.4 triples. Kelvin Durant is renowned for his lights-out shooting and swats.

As long as the NBA star is healthy, you can expect fireworks in the 2021-22 season.

7. Paul George SF, PF and SG

The Los Angeles Clippers player has impressed in the postseason helping his team past the top-seeded Utah Jazz without the help of the impressive Kawhi Leonard.

Kawhi Leonard will be out through the All-star break, which means Paul George will be playing a big role and making significant contributions.

8. Jayson Tatum SF, PF

The Boston Celtics player put up an electric scoring outburst last season in the playoffs. He scored 50 points on two occasions and 122 points in total in Boston Celtic’s last three playoff games.

Tatum is coming off an impressive season in his professional basketball career. Plus, he put up impressive stats averaging 26 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists. He is worthy of a first-round pick.

9. Trae Young PG

The Atlanta Hawks player rapidly rose to the prospect list after dazzling crowds in NBA games and leading his team to the Eastern Conference finals. He averaged 25.3 points, 3.9 assists, and 9.4 rebounds in the previous season.

Young is a resilient player who continually nailed triples and has an excellent free-throw shooting percentage. However, he needs to improve his field goal percentage and clean up his turnovers to make the top 10 rankings.

10. Anthony Davis PF

The Los Angeles Lakers point forward is coming off a great season. He posted 21.8 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks on average. The 49.1% field goal was impressive. After having career lows thanks to injuries, he is a stellar player when healthy.

Expect Anthony Davis to post excellent results this upcoming season. It’s the promise of what he can do that makes him a worthy first-round value.

11. Joel Embiid PF/C

Joel is unrivaled as a center. His biggest concerns are health-related, which he has put behind him. Even a fantasy manager will be astonished by his performance. He averaged 28.5 points, one steal and his shooting average 51.3/37.7/85.9, which made him a worthy runner up for the MVP last season behind Nikola Jokic. There is hope for more hair-rousing performances in the upcoming campaign with the Philadelphia 76ers..

12. Damian Lillard PG

The Portland Trail Blazers point guard is significantly undervalued but had a dominant performance in the previous season. Over the past seasons, Lillard averaged 7.0 dimes, 4.4 boards, 27.3 points, 3.4 triples and one steal.

His shooting was impressive at 44.3/38.2/90.8 on average. Ranking him in fantasy basketball doesn’t hurt except in blocks.

13. Karl Anthony Towns C

In the last two seasons, he only played 85 games, but he averaged 24 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 assists despite his family tragedy and injuries. Karl Anthony Towns is a top-10 contender considering his ability to shoot efficiently, score, rebound, and fire from under the rim.

14. Bradley Beal SG, SF

The Washington Wizards player had a career-high 31.3 points average last season. He ended the season with 4 rebounds, 4 assists which included 1.2 steals and 2.2 triples.

15. Jimmy Butler SF, PF, SG

The Miami Heat’s player had a strong display last season, averaging 21 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists. Also, he had 2.1 steals and only 2.1 turnovers on average.

The Miami Heat is expecting him to step up his strong contribution everywhere else.

Never stake your hopes on the preseason or the coach speeches, but the individual player performance. The efficiency and game statistics tell a lot about what to expect from a player in the upcoming season. The above players will play a valuable role in the NBA, which makes them excellent fantasy prospects.
