Reigning league MVP Nikola Jokic will be sidelined in the Denver Nuggets’ home clash against the Chicago Bulls on Friday night due to a wrist sprain.

Reported by Harrison Wind of The Denver Post, head coach Michael Malone confirmed the update, further claiming that the injury is not a long-term one.

The Nuggets will move forward with a depleted roster, as young talents Jamal Murray (ACL recovery) and Michael Porter Jr. (back) remain out of the lineup in an indefinite timetable of return.

The Serbian superstar is averaging 26.4 points, 13.6 rebounds, and 6.4 assists this season while leading Denver to a 9-6 card.
