Joel Embiid, the superstar of the Philadelphia 76ers, couldn’t hide his enjoyment when his team defeated the Chicago Bulls. He also admitted that his new teammate Georges Niang contributed to the victory to a great extent.

The 28-year-old shooting guard had 12 points, 1 rebounds and 2 assists in 25 minutes of play. “I used to think he sucked, honestly,” Embiid said about Niang postgame, via Lauren Rosen.

“Obviously, on this team he’s doing way more than [shooting 3s]. What I’m impressed with is he’s a competitor. He brings so much joy to all of us, on and off the court. I’m just glad I have him.”

This season, Niang is averaging 11.9 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game for the Sixers. It is an increase from last year when he was with the Jazz where he averaged 6.9 points, 2.4 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game.
