LaMelo Ball called out Hornets’ head coach James Borrego as Charlotte conceded a 22-0 run in the fourth quarter of the 107-120 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.
The Hornets’ star commented on his head coach rotations after the contest. Here is what he had to say, per Ben Golliver.
“I feel like I’ve got to be in there longer for the fourth quarter, you feel me? I feel like I came in a little late in the game.”
At the start of the fourth quarter, Ball was subbed out of the game for his routine rest. The Hornets took a 102-93 lead at around the seven-minute mark.
From this point, the Hornets did not score for six minutes, as the Clippers made a 22-0 run to secure the win. Ball finished the contest with 21 points, seven rebounds and three assists.
