Denver Nuggets are still searching for stability since the start of the season. After Monday’s loss to Ja Morant, Memphis Grizzlies, the Nuggets’ head coach Mike Malone stated he’s still trying to find the right lineup.

“I think one of the worst feelings for a coach is when you’re in search mode,” Malone said. “Just trying to find a group of guys, or a player or two, that wants to be here, wants to be in the building, wants to go out there and play and play with energy and fight and compete.”

The Nuggets have yet to find their footing on the offensive end, averaging 100 points per contest through seven games this season. In the loss vs. Memphis, they were unable to perform on defense, allowing 58 points in the paint.

“Those are not game-plan things. That’s just the responsibility of each individual to be engaged and to go out there, and you can’t control makes or misses but you certainly can control your effort and how hard you play and doing your job,” Malone said.

The Nuggets will have the chance to get back one against Memphis, after their disappointing defeat Monday, as they face the Grizzlies again on Wednesday.
