Baskonia will have to play without forward Alec Peters, who will undergo knee surgery on Tuesday in the United States, prolonging his absence from the team roster for an indefinite period of time.
Peters has yet to play for the Spanish powerhouse this season after averaging 11.5 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.6 assists during the past season.
He has been sidelined with a knee injury he suffered in preseason. Both the veteran forward and Baskonia decided a conservative treatment, but there was no real improvement as Peters missed the team’s last seven EuroLeague games.
Peters named EuroLeague champion in his first season in the competition with Anadolue Efes, before joining Baskonia last summer.
