EuroLeague Round 6 came to an end on Wednesday with CSKA Moscow suffering a big upset and Real Madrid coming closer to the top.

At Astroballe, ASVEL Villeurbanne (4-2) survived a late thriller over CSKA Moscow (4-2) and secured a big home win (70-68). The game was decided in the final seconds. Will Clyburn missed the game-winning three-pointer at the buzzer and ASVEL sealed the deal.

Real Madrid (5-1) extended its winning streak to four games, thanks to its 68-75 victory over Zenit Saint Petersburg (3-3). The “Whites” used a strong second-half performance to clinch a crucial road win.

UNICS Kazan (2-4) was unstoppable in the first half and dominated Baskonia (3-3) at home (83-69). The Russians outscored the Basques 24-6 in the second quarter and cruised to the win.

In Athens, Panathinaikos (2-4) crushed defending EuroLeague champions Anadolu Efes (1-5) and handed them a heavy road loss (95-69). The “Greens” led from start to finish and decimated Efes, which has lost five of its first six EuroLeague games.
