Brooklyn Nets have reportedly taken calls on Kyrie Irving from other NBA teams, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Even though Irving will not be available to play, the Nets are denying the possibility of trading him away.

Irving has a player option he is expected to exercise after this season, meaning he can and will likely become a free agent.

He was in negotiations with the Nets for a new contract, however theu pulled away with Irving away from the team due to his vaccination status and the citywide mandate in New York.

“Brooklyn, I’m told, has taken incoming calls from teams on Kyrie Irving. They have not themselves made any calls on Kyrie Irving,” Woj reported.

With the unpredictable character of Irving and the possibility of Kevin Durant standing against trading the guard, the superstar point guard seems to be unmovable for now in a potential trade deal.
