The losing streak of the Los Angeles Lakers extended to seven games if preseason games are counted after the team was defeated at home by the Golden State Warriors for the season opener (114-121).

Only two players for the Lakers were able to score in double digits — LeBron James had 34 points while Anthony Davis added 33 points.Meanwhile, Russell Westbrook, the third member of the Big Three, scored 8 points and a +/- rating of -23.

“We didn’t finish quarters well the whole night,” Lakers head coach Frank Vogel said postagem. “I think they closed the gap at the end of the third. And then obviously we gave up a 38-point fourth quarter. If you do that, you’re going to lose most nights. Defense just not on a string yet. I thought we did a good job being up on Steph [Curry]. But the backside was much better in the first half than the second half.”
