Ben Simmons is again with the Philadelphia 76ers for now, after holding out for more than a month. The three-time All-Star demanded a trade before the start of the offseason.

Simmons did not play in the Sixers’ preseason finale against the Detroit Pistons on Friday, but there is a ‘growing belief’ he will suit up again as part of the 76ers, per NBA insider Marc Stein.

It seems clear Simmons still wants a trade and a fresh start somewhere else, but he may be willing to suit up and perhaps improve his trade stock.

The Sixers either want the Australian back to the team or need a colossal haul back to trade him. More than seven teams have actively showed interest in acquiring Simmons, but the Sixers’ demands stalled the negotiations.

Simmons played his last game with Philadelphia in the seven-game series vs. the Atlanta Hawks, which signaled the start of the Ben Simmons saga this past offseason.
