The Los Angeles Lakers finished a series of six preseason games without a single win after the loss to the Sacramento Kings (112-116). It was only the second time that the Lakers played their Big Three of LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook.

Despite yet another loss, Robert Horry thinks that the Purple and Gold are close to being ready for the regular season which begins next week. The seven-time NBA champion pointed at Lakers defense as one area that needs some more work.

“I think they’re close to being ready,” Horry said on Spectrum SportsNet. “There’s a couple of things they need to tune up because there were some stretches where they had lapses in defense but offensively they looked pretty smooth. Westbrook looked a whole lot better. I just thought the flow of the game was really good. It’s like they didn’t try to go too hard. But they were just trying to show you bits and pieces on how good they are.”
