Steve Kerr could be the successor of Gregg Popovich in Team USA ahead of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
According to Marc Stein of Substack, Kerr is the favorite to take over Team USA and replace the legendary head coach of the San Antonio Spurs.
The head coach of the Golden State Warriors was the lead assistant of Popovich in the 2019 Basketball World Cup and the 2020 Olympic Games.
As Stein reports, Erik Spoelstra of the Miami Heat is also a candidate for the head coaching position. New Managing Director of Team USA, Grant Hill, will be the one that will make the decision.
Under Gregg Popovich and Steve Kerr, Team USA finished seventh in the World Cup and won the gold medal in the Olympics.
