Pau Gasol has scheduled an official press conference next Tuesday, October 5, where he will most likely announce his retirement from basketball.
Gasol came back from a two-year absence and spent the last part of the 2020/21 season with FC Barcelona. He won the ACB title and played in the EuroLeague Championship Game.
The legendary Spanish big man has already retired from the national team, after playing in his fifth Olympic Games. The 41-year-old big man claimed 11 medals in FIBA competitions.
Pau Gasol spent the vast majority of his career in the NBA, where he won back-to-back championship with the Los Angeles Lakers (2009, 2010).
