After a season in which he had to deal with injuries, Anthony Davis appears to have put some extra work into his body, according to Los Angeles Lakers head coach Frank Vogel.

He remembered the time when the 28-year-old forward came in for the workouts and everyone saw how much he improved over the summer and were pleasantly surprised.

“[AD] put a lot of work this offseason into his body,” Vogel said on Spectrum SportsNet . “We had a moment two weeks ago, he comes in for the workouts and we all just looked at each other and were like ‘we’re gonna be really good this year.'”

This past season Davis averaged 21.8 points, 7.9 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game for the Lakers. Injuries limited him to just 36 regular season games.
