Boston Celtics are days away from the start of the training camp, as the team enters a new season with new head coach and new front office.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Celtics signed former Bulls’ point guard Ryan Arcidiacono to a camp deal. Arcidiacono worked out for the Warriors last week.

Arcidiacono was signed by Chicago as an undrafted guard prospect who won a national title with Villanova. He remained in Chicago for the first four seasons of his career as a reserve guard.

Standing at 6-foot-3 with a career average of 4.8 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game, Arcidiacono is a legit NBA back-up guard. He also shot 37.3% from deep and 53.7% overall during his career.

The Villanova product could make a good contribution as the third point-guard in a team, even though the Celtics seems to have a crowded backcourt during this time.
