Monaco is ready to conclude an important transfer, as they have reportedly reached an agreement with EuroLeague superstar Mike James, first reported by Home of Glory and Donatas Urbonas.
James spent the first half of last season with CSKA Moscow, before getting suspended indefinitely by the Russians in March 2020 following an incident with team head coach Dimitris Itoudis.
He parted ways with the Russian giants a few days ago, with Monaco being among the teams interested in signing him.
He finished last season with the Brooklyn Nets, averaging 7.7 points and 4.5 assists per contest in 13 regular games. This season, Monaco will participate, for the first time in club’s history, in the EuroLeague competition.
The scoring guard had an amazing year with CSKA before his suspension, putting up 19.3 points, along with 5.7 assists and 3.1 rebounds per contest in 31 EuroLeague games last season.
