Atlanta Hawks added former Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers center Jahlil Okafor, Shams Charania of the Athletic and the Stadium reports.

After Okafor was traded to the Nets last week in a deal that also sent DeAndre Jordan to Detroit, the veteran center became a free agent.

The Hawks are hoping to put another deep-bench piece in their roster with Okafor, as his role is once again expected to be limited.

Okafor began his career with Philadelphia, before joining the Nets, Pelicans (two seasons) and the Detroit Pistons last year. He appeared in 27 games for Detroit, averaging 12 minutes on the court and 5.4 points per game.
