FC Barcelona announced the signing of Nigel Hayes, who joins the club on a one-year deal. The forward from United States will join the Catalans, after spending the last two seasons with Zalgiris Kaunas.

During the 2019/20 season, Hayes played under current FC Barcelona head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius. The Wisconsin product is able to play in the small and the power forward position.

During his stint in Kaunas, Hayes appeared in 62 Lithuanian league games and 62 EuroLeague games. He averaged 9.5 points and 3.9 rebounds in 26 minutes per contest in the European competition.

The 26-year-old forward also played for the Westchester Knicks, the Lakers, the Raptors, and the Kings, before moving to Europe. He then joined Galatasaray to start his overseas career in 2018.
