FC Barcelona announced Cory Higgins will be out for 12 more additional weeks, after undergoing surgery for chronic plantar fasciitis in his left foot.
Higgins underwent a procedure for the same diagnosis on his right foot. Higgins played last time on Jan.27 in a home game against LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne for EuroLeague Round 23.
Overall in the 2021-22 season, the veteran guard averaged 9.2 points, 1.7 assists, 1.6 rebounds, 0.5 steals, and 0.3 blocks in the EuroLeague. The Catalans are currently tied for the best record with Real Madrid at 20-5.
Barcelona is scheduled to resume the 2021-22 EuroLeague campaign with a road trip to Russia to face Zenit St. Petersburg and CSKA Moscow on 25 and 27 of February, respectively.
