The Los Angeles Lakers managed to keep Talen Horton-Tucker on the roster after the two parties agreed to a three-year contract extension. For the 20-year-old guard, it was an easy decision to remain with the team with which he won a championship in 2020.

“I feel like it was a no-brainer just to come back where I started and just kind of run it back. I want to win a championship… so being around this group of guys that we have is going to be a plus for me,” THT said, per Robert Marvi of Lakers Daily.

The former second round draft pick has earned his place on the Lakers roster over the two years with the team. After playing just six regular season games in 2019-2020, he increased that number to 65 this past season, averaging nine points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game.
