Luka Doncic is available for a rookie contract extension that could be worth approximately $200 million over five seasons with the Dallas Mavericks.

According to Mark J. Spears, both sides are not holding any discussion for Doncic’s future right now as Dallas is looking to bounce back from another early first round exit.

Earlier today, the Mavs parted ways with longtime general manager Donnie Nelson, the team announced. This decision may have something to do with the contract talks’ procrastination.

Luka Doncic named in the All-NBA First Team for a second consecutive year, leading the Mavericks to the postseason. He averaged 27.7 points, eight rebounds and 8.6 assists while logging 34 minutes per game in 66 total matches this season.

He amped up his performances during the playoffs, posting averages of 35.7 points, 7.9 rebounds and 10.3 assists in 40 minutes per game vs. the contending Clippers.
