Marko Simonovic, the No. 44 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, has confirmed that he will join the Chicago Bulls’ roster this season, according to Darnell Mayberry of The Athletic.

The 2021-22 season will be Simonovic’s first in the NBA.

The 21-year-old just made his Summer League debut and recorded 13 points (4-of-6 shooting from the field), five rebounds and one steal in a 94-77 win over the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Montenegrin big man spent last season with Mega Basket of the Adriatic Basketball Association (ABA) where he averaged 15.7 points, 9.1 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.0 steal per game in 25 games (31.6 minutes per game).

The Bulls will have some high expectations for this season after they acquired Lonzo Ball and DeMar DeRozan this offseason to go along with stars Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic.
