Kendrick Nunn wanted to join the Los Angeles Lakers and fight for the NBA championship next season.

Nunn, who spent the last three years with the Miami Heat, turned down more lucrative offers in order to sign with the Lakers.

The veteran guard agreed to a two-year deal with the Lakers, worth a total of $10M, and has a player option for the second year of the deal.

For their part, the Lakers have already bolstered their roster after the trade of Russell Westbrook and have signed Carmelo Anthony and Dwight Howard among others.
