The Los Angeles Lakers started the free agency with a spree of signings. After agreeing with Dwight Howard, Trevor Ariza, Wayne Ellington, Kent Bazemore and Carmelo Anthony, the team is reportedly signing Malik Monk, per Brad Turner.

The 23-year-old shooting guard spent the last four years — his entire NBA career thus far — with the Charlotte Hornets. This past season, Monk averaged 11.7 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. He became an unrestricted free agent upon expiry of his contract.
