Malik Monk decided to join the Kings after spending a year with the Lakers. According to Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee, a key factor in his decision to go to Sacramento was a close relationship with De’Aaron Fox.
The two players were teammates in college at Kentucky and are described as “brothers.” This past season Monk averaged 13.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 28.1 minutes per game for Los Angeles.
