Malik Monk was one of the most consistent players of the Los Angeles Lakers this season, however he couldn’t lead the franchise to the playoffs.

The young guard spoke with reporters a few days ago and opened up about how the current season helped him elevate his game.

“Just being an all-around player man, not just focusing on putting the ball in the basket. Trying to rebound, trying getting other guys involved man and just playmaking man.

I think I got more mature, I think I got a more mature game than the last four years so, happy with my performances man but super super-duper mad man that we got put out,” Monk said.

Malik Monk averaged 13.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 76 regular season games. He and the Lakers now have their sights set on the new season, after being eliminated from the play-in tournament.
