Kawhi Leonard will have to make a decision on his future this coming offseason. The two-time NBA champion has a player option for the next year, which he can exercise until August 1, 2021.

According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, the 30-year-old Clippers star could leave the team only if another player recruits him. For sports analyst Skip Bayless, it would not be shocking news if Leonard ended up with the Lakers after the saga of 2019 when he eventually joined their city rivals.

“I’m serious when I say this. If I suddenly heard that Kawhi had mysteriously joined the Lakers, I would not be shocked by that. I was shocked when he didn’t join the Lakers on that fateful night on July 5th,” Bayless said on UNDISPUTED.

This past season, Kawhi averaged 24.8 points, 6.5 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game for the Clippers.
