James Harden was sidelined for 18 games due to a hamstring injury. The Brooklyn Nets star returned to action in a game against the San Antonio Spurs.

Despite a lengthy absence, Harden was able to put a double-double in his return as he scored 18 points and dished 11 assists, helping the Nets take the win.

After the game, he was asked if it surprised him the way he was able to have an impactful game on his return. “Not really. Not to, like, brag or anything, but I’m really good at this game,” Harden said. “I study the game, I’m very unselfish. I take the game and I play it the right way every single night.

“I’m not trying to do anything that I can’t do or anything that doesn’t benefit our team. That mindset right there keeps me in a really good place.”

This season, Harden is averaging 25.2 points, 8 rebounds and 10.9 assists per game for Brooklyn. The Nets are currently in the second place in the Eastern Conference with 46 wins and 24 losses.
