The Los Angeles Lakers were defeated by the Washington Wizards 107-116 as they ended a four-game road trip. The reigning NBA champions return to LA with one win and three losses.

According to the Lakers head coach, Frank Vogel, the team is now looking forward at the remaining regular season games. “We just got to look forward,” he said after the loss to the Wizards. “We got six out of our next eight at home, seven if count the Clippers game.

“We got to put this trip behind us and continue to work on what we’re doing — reintegrate AD [Anthony Davis] into our system playing alongside the other AD, Drum [Andre Drummond]. Just this trip behind us.”

The Lakers still find themselves in the fifth place in the Western Conference. However, the gap between them and the fourth-placed Nuggets is expanding. Los Angeles is now five wins behind Denver. On other side, the Mavericks are just two wins behind the Lakers.
