Los Angeles Lakers are expected to initiate contract extension talks with head coach Frank Vogel, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported during the NBA Countdown Saturday.

The Los Angeles Lakers plan to begin contract extension discussions with head coach Frank Vogel this offseason, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski on NBA Countdown Saturday.
“The Lakers, I’m told, plan to initiate contract extension talks with Frank Vogel this offseason,” Wojnarowski told show host Maria Taylor.
Vogel is in the second year of the three-season deal he signed with the Lakers back in 2019. The Lakers won the 2019/2020 NBA championship last season making an incredible postseason run in Orlando.
Vogel spent time with the Orlando Magic, the Indiana Pacers and the Lakers in 10 seasons in the NBA. The Lakers are the fifth seed (35-25) this season, after losing LeBron James and Anthony Davis with injuries.
