The Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis missed 2.5 months of basketball due to a calf injury. He made his comeback against the Dallas Mavericks last night as he played 17 minutes and had 4 points and 4 rebounds.

After the game he was asked whether he was conscious of his injury while playing the game. “I didn’t think about it one time tonight,” Davis said. “I just wen out there and played. I think it kind of limits what you do if you out there thinking about your injury.

“So I just went out there and played and just not thinking about it go out there and have fun and be excited to be back on the floor. That was my main thing.

Obviously, just excited to be back on the floor. with the guys. I never thought about it. I never didn’t limit to any moves, wasn’t hesitant with anything. So that was a good sign for me.”

The Lakers ended up losing the game 110-115. The reigning NBA champions remained in the fifth place of the Western Conference, three wins clear of the Trail Blazers and now three wins behind the Nuggets.

For the Mavericks, they tied Portland’s record of 32 wins and 26 losses, but remained in the seventh place which would give them a ticket to the Play-In Tournament.
